Abstract: In this registry based cohort study of adults with covid-19 related acute respiratory failure, we compared hospital mortality and the probability of being discharged alive between ECMO treatment in patients with a PaO2/FiO2 ratio <80 mm Hg and a treatment strategy where all patients received conventional mechanical ventilation without ECMO.
