COVID Critical and Aridhia Informatics milestone celebrated in Poland

Last month, CCRG hosted a small dinner in Kraków, Poland in recognition of the successful development of COVID-19 Critical Care Consortium Dashboard, co-developed with Aridhia Informatics.

The dinner saw 30 senior researchers and clinicians come together to learn more about the Dashboard and it’s role in future projects from Aridhia Informatics Founder and CEO, David Sibbald OBE FRSE.

Clinician-designed during the pandemic, the COVID Critical and the Dashboard have been lauded by JAMA as a quantum shift in international research collaborations. The event in Poland, held in conjunction with the 12th Congress of the European Life Support Organisation, celebrated CCRG, Aridhia and COVID Critical’s shared commitment to research excellence and marked the culmination of four years’ work.

“The way this network came together, collaborated and created new technology - during a pandemic nonetheless - will have a lasting impact for generations of patients to come. With thanks to Aridhia and the COVID Critical network, now spanning 460+ sites in 64 countries, the technology and infrastructure is now ready to enable a more rapid response to health crises in the future,” said Professor John Fraser, CCRG Director and COVID Critical Co-Founder.

“COVID Critical built what is widely regarded as the world’s most in-depth database of COVID-19 ICU patient data, and now with thanks to Aridhia’s Digital Research Environment, we can accelerate the availability and use of this deidentified data for biomedical research and better patient outcomes.”

“I would like to sincerely thank and acknowledge the steadfast support David Sibbald and David Allan, Aridhia General Counsel, have shown this project, their belief in us and our ability to get it done has never wavered,” said Professor Fraser.
