In pictures: CCRG welcomes Professor Samson Kinyanjui

Earlier this month we had the great pleasure of hosting Professor Samson Kinyanjui for a series of events celebrating our collaboration with the KEMRI Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kilifi, Kenya. Across five days, Professor Kinyanjui spent time with CCRG staff and collaborators from leading research institutes including Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital, QIMR Berghofer, and UQ’s Institute for Molecular Bioscience and Faculty of Medicine.

The highlight of Professor Kinyanjui’s visit was his keynote lecture delivered at The Institute for Molecular Bioscience, University of Queensland on Friday 15 September. Entitled “Innovation & Translational Science in the Fight Against Malaria: Collaborations without borders”, the keynote was attended by over 100 students and staff, and provided important insights into KWTRP’s capacity building programme.
